Course Description
The CTH Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality Management  aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the operational aspects of the international hotel industry, and a knowledge of the underlying principles involved. The programme requires students to demonstrate interpersonal, self study and research and presentation skills throughout the qualification. Assessments are developed to encourage these skills that will provide students with a very strong foundation for further studies in hospitality and tourism sectors.

Certificate for this course will be awarded by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH).

Academic Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum entry requirements:

  • CTH Level 3 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality
  • 2 A’ Level passes (E or above)
  • 2 HSSC passes (C or above)
  • 20 years old AND completion of Secondary School AND 2 years of relevant work experience

  • Rooms Division Supervision
  • Food and Beverage Operations
  • Food and Beverage Supervision
  • Essentials of Finance in Tourism and Hospitality
  • Customer Service Management in Tourism and Hospitality
  • Global Tourism and Hospitality

There are no Optional Subjects.

Duration: 12 months (2 semesters).

Intakes: January, June, September.

Course Assessments
Assessments are set and marked externally by CTH and constitute a combination of written assignments, time constrained examinations and class room presentations.

Successful graduates may apply to gain entry to CTH Level 5 Diploma in Hotel Management or CTH Level 5 Diploma Tourism Management or alternatively enter at the second year of a university degree in Hospitality and Tourism. The following image shows the pathway.
