Course Description
MAPS Associate Degree in Human Resource Management qualification provides learners with a broad understanding of a wide range of human resource management concepts and promotes the development of essential workplace skills demanded by employers. The qualification is suitable for individuals already in work or looking to start their career in a range of human resources-related job roles, and supports progression to management level roles on completion.

The qualification can also be extended to a three year Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management (MNQF Level 7).

Academic Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum entry requirements:

  • 2 A’ Level passes (E or above)
  • 2 HSSC passes (C or above)
  • MNQF Level 4 Qualification in a related field
  • MNQF Level 4 Qualification in an unrelated field, AND successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program
  • 20 years old AND completion of the 10th year of School AND 2 years of work experience in a relevant field, AND successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program

Mode of Study: Face to Face (Male’ Campus) AND Online (students living outside Greater Male’)

Course Assessments
All subjects will be assessed by time constrained written examinations. Some subjects will also include assignments and presentations.

Pathway
Students who complete the MAPS Associate Degree in Human Resource Management may use it as a standalone qualification or progress onto the final year of the MAPS Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. Students may also choose to progress onto an ABE Level 6 Diploma in Business Management, Human Resources or Marketing, or apply for entry to the University of Bedfordshire BA Business Administration (Final Year) programme on a case-by-case basis.
