Study Online

Students living outside of Greater Male’ can now study 34 of MAPS College Online Courses across seven subject areas online, from anywhere in the Maldives, through the MAPS College Smart Campus.

MAPS College online courses are identical to the courses delivered face-to-face, ensuring our online students have the same high-quality lectures, access to materials and support as our students studying face-to-face.

Achieving a high-quality MAPS College qualification can transform lives. Graduates of MAPS College are able to access better quality job opportunities; perform better within their current roles; and identify opportunities for personal and professional development more effectively in all aspects of their life. These benefits are now also accessible to students across the Maldives without the need to study in Male’.

At MAPS College, online students complete 100% of the lectures in their own homes and islands, making the qualifications ideal for those living outside of Male’ who are looking to achieve a high-quality qualification.

With our online delivery, students from across the Maldives can now experience the same level of quality from their own homes and islands.

Assessments

There are three types of assessment used across all the online courses. All units have an end of unit exam, which will be undertake by the students as a paper based exam in their local atoll. The exact island hosting the exam in each atoll will depend on a number of factors, including ease of access, available exam venues and the location of students. End of unit exams are usually scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays.

Some units have an assignment as well as the end of unit exam. Assignments are usually written assignments, but may also include recorded presentations or other tasks. All assignments are submitted electronically through the MAPS College Smart Campus.

The Accounting qualifications include units awarded by ACCA. The ACCA units are assessed through computer based assessments at the end of each unit. These computers based assessments are currently held in Male’ only, and cannot be undertaken locally.
