Course Description
MAPS Associate Degree in Project Management qualification provides learners with a broad understanding of a wide range of Project Management and business concepts and promotes the development of essential workplace skills demanded by employers. The qualification is suitable for individuals already in work or looking to start their career in a range of Project Management job roles, and supports progression to management level roles on completion.

The qualification can also be extended to a three year Bachelor’s degree in Project Management (MNQF Level 7).

Academic Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following minimum entry requirements:

  • 2 A’ Level passes (E or above)
  • 2 HSSC passes (C or above)
  • MNQF Level 4 Qualification in a related field
  • MNQF Level 4 Qualification in an unrelated field, AND successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program
  • 20 years old AND completion of the 10th year of School AND 2 years of work experience in a relevant field, AND successful completion of an MQA approved University Preparation Program

Duration: 2 academic years

Intakes: February, June, August, November.

Mode of Study: Face to Face (Male’ Campus) AND Online (students living outside Greater Male’)

Course Assessments
All subjects will be assessed by time constrained written examinations. Some subjects will also include assignments and presentations.

Students who complete the MAPS Associate Degree in Project Management may use it as a standalone qualification or progress onto the final year of the MAPS Bachelor’s degree in Project Management. Students may also choose to progress onto an ABE Level 6 Diploma in Business Management, Human Resources or Marketing, or the University of Bedfordshire BA Business Administration (Final Year) programme.
