Course Description
MAPS Certificate 3 in Information Technology course builds on the basic information technology skills students gained through Certificate I and Certificate II of the Information Technology course. Students will further acquire web design and photo editing skills though this course.
The subject will be delivered through workshop sessions where students will be given a demonstration and practical hands on activities.

Academic Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum entry requirements:
- Completion of the 6th year of School
- Completed MAPS Certificate 2Â in Information Technology
- Completed a MNQF Level 2 qualification
- 18 years old AND ability to communicate in English language
Candidates without the above requirements shall be evaluated on an individual basis, utilizing individual interviews to judge candidates’ ability to follow this course.

- Introduction to Word Processing
- Introduction to Spreadsheet Management
- Introduction to Presentation Software
- Introduction to Database Management
- Introduction to Graphics
- Web Design Basics
- Photo Editing Basics
There are no Optional Subjects.
Duration:Â 6 months (22 weeks)
Credits: 60 credits
Intakes: Throughout the year.
Mode of Study: Face to Face (Male’ Campus only)
Course Assessments
All subjects will be assessed by time constrained exams that are set and marked by MAPS College.

Pathway
Students who achieve the MAPS Certificate 3 in Information Technology can continue to work through to the MAPS Level 4 Advanced Certificate in Information Technology.
