Course Description
All businesses need to manage their finances correctly in order to ensure their stability and their potential for future growth. Knowledge of finance is one of the core skills of running a profitable operation and is integral to all areas of the business. The Association of Business Executives (ABE) now offers a Financial Management (FM) pathway within the Business Management programme. The new pathway system allows greater flexibility for students who now have the option to complete multiple qualifications simultaneously.
This course introduces the students into the world of business and management. It highlights some of the common concepts of business – the different sectors of organizational theory, human resource management, marketing, finance and accounting, operations management, etc – and also pushes important skills such as business communication, bookkeeping, and statistics. For specialization students will have to follow the subject “Accounting for Financial Managers” which takes an in-depth look into the accounting and financial management aspects of operating a business.
This course may have been referred to as ABE Diploma in Business Management (Financial Management Pathway) in some of the promotional materials.
