Maldives Qualification Authority has recognized ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business qualification at MNQF Level 5 Diploma today. This diploma qualification is part of the newly introduced ACCA Foundations in Accountancy suite of awards. It is suitable for those students who have completed the Introductory Certificate and wish to continue on to the next level or anyone looking to do an introductory qualification in accounting and finance, including school leavers or those already working in accounts-support roles.
The subjects/units studied in this course forms part of the subjects/units of the ACCA Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) course as well as the Knowledge Module of the ACCA Qualification Fundamental Level. Â In addition to an on-line self-paced unit, students are required to pass three exams within a period of 6 months to obtain their ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business.
ACCA does not require any previous academic qualifications to study for this certificate. However to get the Certificate recognized under MNQF one of the following entry requirements is necessary:
» Completed ACCA Introductory Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting
» Completed ACCA Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting
» 3 O Level passes (C or above) including SSC or equivalent
» O Level pass in Accounting (C or above) or equivalent pass in Accounting and 1 year work experience in the accounting field
» A Level pass in Accounting (E or above)
» MNQF Level 4 qualification
Students interested in this course should apply for the April 2012 intake before the 31 March 2012 or before 14 April 2012 as late entry.
